2010 was officially the launch year for tablets, like iPad evolved,
but 2011 would be the year of iPad’s competitors to step forward. One
amongst them would be HTC’s tablet. According to U.S. Patent office, HTC
has filed a trademark for a handheld electronic device named “Scribe”
recently.
The trademark was filed on Dec. 26, according to the U.S. Patent and
Trademark Office. “This will provide an alternative to the iPad,” Will
Stofega, program director at consulting firm IDC, told Bloomberg News.
“This will compete on pricing, and could be as good or better.”
Rivals to iPad already in the market are Samsung, HP, Palm etc., and
now joins in HTC. SO this year Google Android-powered devices, including
HTC, are likely to provide the headiest challenge to Apple’s iPad.
However, no more details are revealed about “Scribe”, but stay with us
for updates.
