Chronic Dev Team Announces To Launch Untethered Jailbreak Tools For iOS 5

Joshua Hill, a member of Chronic Dev’s Team is also known as p0sixninja, recently posted on the Greenp0ison site to explain the current status of the iOS 5 jailbreak and reveals that it is going to take the actions to launch tools for mass exploitation of iOS 5. As you know, that, up until now, since the iOS came into existence, developer could not launch the untethered jailbreaking tools. However, there are tethered jailbreaking tools available to jailbreak iOS 5, but they are inconvenient.

Earlier, also Dev Team announced to offer the untether jailbreak tools for iOS 5, but it has been a long period, and Dev Team did not post anything about it. The team via its post says:

“Instead of allowing this vicious cycle to continue, we decided to write a new program to turn Apple’s own beast against its master, per se. All this program requires from you is to attach your iOS device to your computer and click a single button!

At this point, the program copies all the crash reports off your device (which, under normal circumstances, would be sent right back to Apple), and instead sends this data to a secure, private server hosted by your friendly Chronic Dev Team. Next, our program needs to neuter your copy of iTunes, simply by changing your settings to prevent your computer from sending any further information from your device to Apple.”

As per his above statement, now we can expect untethered jailbreaking tools to be available soon.
