Cydia App To Make Ringtones Using Shazam Music Service

Jailbreak iPhone owners can now enjoy a powerful tweak that attaches itself to the official Shazam app and provides an extension to both the music app as well as their very own UnlimTones app available on Cydia. The jailbreak app once installed identifies the Shazam app both free as well as paid version and provides an extra button on the marked songs section that links it the UnlimTones Cydia app.

This new Cydia app called ShazamTones is actually a gateway that connects both the official Shazam app with the UnlimTones, which means that users can easily and correctly search the ringtone for virtually any songs they have marked using the Shazam service. If you are unaware of the Shazam app, then it will be interesting for you to know that Shazam music discovery app enables users to tag and find out music just by recording a little snippet of the track and uploading it through the Shazam service.

Now, the new added button when tapped starts the UnlimTones app, and the tagged song is instantly searched making it available for the user to download. The app does not install any new icon on your phone; however, if UnlimTones app is not already installed, then ShazamTones will automatically download and install it on your iPhone. The extra button gets itself attached to the main interface nicely and doesn’t ruin the appearance of the Shazam app.

UnlimTones may not always come up with the equivalent ringtone for your marked songs on the Shazam app. However, as both the app and its corresponding Cydia app being totally free, it is really worth a shot.

ShazamTones is available via BigBoss repo and is absolutely free, and another good thing is that it doesn’t require any specific iOS installation.
