This iOS 6 unique feature has its own set of preferences, whicy you can access from the settings panel.
The Do Not Disturb feature allows you to customize how the feature works for you. You can set your own timetable as when you don’t wish to be disturbed. However, Apple has even thought over the emergency situation and will let the phone bypass the “Do Not Disturb” feature making use of the “Allow Calls From” option to receive essential calls from contacts included with your Favorites contact list or from select group of people.
The “Repeated Calls” option determines if the caller has tried to make repeated calls within short interval of time to put it in the emergency category and the call will not be ignored.
