iPad 2 Unveiled: No Retina Display No Thunderbolt No HD Front Facing Camera

iPad 2 has just been unveiled by Apple and the most disappointing was the missing Retina Display. However, the new iPad 2 does run on a dual core A5 chip, with graphics that is almost nine times better than the one you got on previous iPad.

The best part of the new iPad 2 is the pricing which remains the same starting $499. The HDMI port included with the new iPad 2 will need a $39 dongle separately.

You will get a front facing camera for video chatting but contrary to the previous reports the front facing camera is not HD. The main camera on the rear will record in 720p at 30fps, also does 5x digital zoom.

The iPad 2 is only 8.8 mm thin which is almost 33 percent thinner than the previous model. Apple has also managed to make iPad 2 a little lighter at just over 600g. Shipping on March 11th you can choose between white and black models.

iPad 2 will be available on both AT&T and Verizon.
