Earlier, we reported that there are two major drawback in the New iPad including that it takes too much time to get charged, and it does not support FaceTime calls over cellular connection. Both the above issues are not sufficient enough to affect the popularity of third-gen iPad. However, one issue is here, which must be given attention to. We are talking about the problem faced by users that New iPad heats up so much resulting in inconvenience. This issue is faced and reported by the users by making the comments on Apple Support Discussion page.
We are giving the comments posted by the New iPad users:
Hello,
I just received an iPad 3 White 32GB WIFI, unfortunately, when holding it in portrait mode, the iPad WARMS UP (not overheat) on the left, near the bottom, where my hands would be.
Anyone else notice this?
Thanks!
However, some users say that it just gets a little extra warmed and hot overheated. Here is what he says:
Yep! Mine gets really warm too. Kind of uncomfortable I must say!
Is yours Wi-Fi or LTE?
27 iMac (Late 2009, Core i5 QC, 16GB RAM ; MacBook Air 13 (2011, Base Model)
32GB iPad (March 2012) Wi-Fi ; 16GB iPhone 4S Verizon
Different users report different experiences, some say that it gets overheated, some say that it heats up and some even report that it gets warmed only. Well, the reason behind this is the use of bigger size battery and bigger chip, which takes even many hours to get charged thus may create a little heat in its body.
The exact problem is that the lower-left corner of the iPad when it is hold in portrait mode feels a little high heated. However, heating issue has been faced with the earlier iPads also, but this time it is more serious.
If you also own a New iPad and facing the same problem, then have patience as Apple will soon offer some ultimate fix to this issue. Until, Apple offers the fix, you can do one thing to prevent this overheating. What you can do is that you can avoid continuous charging and continuous use of this iPad.
