Apple has included a new baseband to its latest iOS 4.1 update, now if you want your iPhone 4 jailbroken then avoid this upgrade. However, the real pain is that the new iOS 4.1 comes with a fix for proximity sensor issue. This is the same issue which made whoopi so angry that she smashed her iPhone 4.
Option is yours either choose freedom and loose one of your limb or accept Apple as your master and serve them for life.
iPhone 3G users can still jailbreak using the Redsn0w released in the month of June, so for them life is easy as it has always been. The people who need words of sympathy are iPhone 3GS users(new Bootrom) and iPhone 4 users.
