Verizon iPhone 4 is proving better than the one on AT&T in more than one way as recently conducted data speed test indicates. The data speed test is conducted by the CNET and has published the comparison chart which shows the result in favor of Verizon iPhone.
The video of the comparison test is given below. CNET ran four different tests in four different locations in San Francisco. First, they checked the number of bars that appeared in the network signal meter. Though the the signal bars are not considered as a parameter to judge network strength, it’s interesting to notice that Verizon had consistently better coverage through these signal meters in each location.
Here is the chart showing the compared signal strength:
However, CNET has also posted the following clarifications regarding the conducted tests.
CNET clarifies,
“However, before you fly Big Red’s banner, keep in mind that these results are indicative of our particular experience. Results in your area may differ, and they may also change over time. Although AT&T’s HSPA 3G network is technically faster than Verizon’s EV-DO, the results don’t always align. Coverage depends heavily on your exact location and even the time of day.”
